Mr.Charlie 2.0 [Process] (2021)

This project involved a number of steps and different methods to reach its "final" stage:

For reference, the original image by Faith Ringgold

"American People Series #6: Mr. Charlie, 1964"

I then numbered sections of the painting for future purposes.

First I drew the image from reference in Pencil, and traced it in Fine Marker.

Then I numbered sections of the illustration for future purposes.

Here are the scissors, which will come in handy.

I then began to cut out each section.

Relocating the work to a green color poster board.

Continued.
