Working in a variety of mediums, I try to express emotions and feelings. I feel that certain topics can be better expressed via a specific medium; a piece might call for painting rather than digital media. Many of my ideas and concepts come from thoughts and sensations that I'm currently experiencing. I allow my work to be a vessel for my subconscious. Much of my previous work is digital media, with occasional fine art making an appearance. My goal for this year is to incorporate more painting and illustration, as well as combining all three elements for mixed media. The process for my digital media art starts with a photograph of myself or a model, and from there I let my thinking take over. However, this isn’t the case with painting or illustration. When I’m at the canvas, I usually already have a concept in mind that I want to express, same with a pencil on paper.

My themes are expressed through styles of Abstraction and Surrealism. I feel that these genres allow for freedom in creating and ultimately serve as an assisted experience while working. I express both genres through my palettes, objects, and materials used. My goal is to evoke personal feelings and curiosity from the viewer. If I made someone think and connect my work to their mind, then I feel gratified, and I’m once again ready to repeat the creative process.
