Final Critique - 5/14/21

For this final critique I feel that I walked away with valuable feedback that I can consider using moving forward. However, I think overall the feedback I received was positive with useful suggestions. While the designs were visually interesting I think I could always improve more by adding additional depth to them, whether that be more elements representing the depicted figures, or using a different color scheme. In terms of criticism, Prof. McLaughlin recommended I choose lesser known subjects, because famous individuals can take away from the visual elements. I hadn't considered this, in fact I chose famous individuals because of the attention they draw. However, it's a solid point to consider for future iterations.

Prof. Fleisher liked "B3z0$" the most and believed it was the most unique of the four. This may be for the colors and overall style.

The topic of the series is to focus on the ultra wealthy power-tech-giants in the world. Incorporating how society sees them for better or worse. Since they are always in the news, I have plenty to work with in terms of representation. I believe I may continue this style of work next semester for Art Tutorials II, however I can do self portraits of people I know.
